Nurse Practitioner

Monica Dajao is a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with a decade of nursing experience. Monica brings her expertise in primary and emergency care. She worked in various healthcare environments, which include primary care clinics, urgent care, clinical research, homeless shelters, and occupational health settings.
Monica graduated from Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and holds a collaborative Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Toronto, focusing on primary care and global health. Known for her compassionate approach, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred, culturally competent, and trauma-informed care. Monica has also served rural primary and urgent care centers in Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan, providing care across the lifespan.
Additionally, Monica is actively involved in professional development and is completing a certificate in Hospital and Acute care for NPs. She possesses specialized training in minor office procedures, opioid agonist treatment, and emergency nursing certification. Monica’s special interests include Newcomer Health, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Mental Health, and providing care to individuals experiencing homelessness.
