Nurse Practitioner

Monica Dajao is a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience. Monica brings expertise in primary and emergency care. She has worked in various healthcare environments, including primary care clinics, urgent care, clinical research, homeless shelters, and occupational health settings.
Monica graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and holds a collaborative Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Toronto, focusing on primary care and global health.
Known for her compassionate approach, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred, culturally competent, and trauma-informed care. Monica has also served rural primary and urgent care centers in Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan, providing care across the lifespan.
Monica’s special interests include Newcomer Health, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Mental Health, and providing care to individuals experiencing homelessness. She possesses specialized training in minor office procedures, opioid agonist treatment, and emergency nursing certification program.
