Kavy is an enthusiastic primary care pharmacist with a passion for patient-centred care. She has clinical experience in primary care, community, hospital and long term care practice settings. Her passion for primary care stems from her experiences working in multiple inter-professional teams and contributing to positive patient outcomes from team-based care. 


Prior to joining CarePoint Health, Kavy was a primary care pharmacist for Rideau Community Health Services. She has been involved in memory clinics, chronic disease management teams, palliative care teams and has previously implemented a pharmacist-led hypertension management program. Kavy has special interests in chronic disease management, deprescribing initiatives, diabetes management and smoking cessation. 


She also has expertise in addressing drug therapy problems and helping patients understand their medication regimen. Kavy uses shared decision making with patients and families to develop comprehensive care plans. 


Kavy has a BSc from Western University, a PharmD from the University of Waterloo and competed her hospital residency at The Ottawa Hospital. In addition to being a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, Kavy has additional training in palliative care management, TEACH certified smoking cessation, and MINT memory clinic. She also enjoys being an active member of the Impact Primary Care Pharmacist working group and education committee.
